  • Health Information: As defined in schedule 5 of the IP Act, including information about your health at any time, disabilities, expressed wishes about future health services, health services provided or to be provided, and information collected for the purpose of providing a health service.
  • Sensitive Information: Including health information which is subject to higher levels of protection under the APPs.

  • Directly from you: Via forms, consultations, correspondence, or telehealth services.
  • From third parties: With your consent (e.g., referrals from GPs, specialists, Aged Care Provider) or as permitted by law.
  • Automatically: Through website analytics tools (anonymised where possible).

5. Purpose of Collection

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, our functions or activities, including:
  • To provide therapeutic services and coordinate with other healthcare providers.
  • For billing, insurance claims, and Health Fund and HCP compliance.
  • To improve our services and comply with legal obligations.
  • For research relevant to public health or public safety (only with your consent or in accordance with approved guidelines).

6. Disclosure of Information

We only disclose information as follows:
  • To your authorised healthcare providers (with your explicit consent).
  • When required or authorised by law (e.g., court orders, public health emergencies).

  • To authorised staff members under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • No overseas disclosures unless explicitly agreed in writing.

7. Mandatory Reporting & Notifications

  • Notifiable conduct by health practitioners: If, as an employer of registered health practitioners, we reasonably believe a practitioner has engaged in notifiable conduct as defined in the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Queensland).
